PHOENIX – Exhibition of Female Artists
Pärnu City Gallery in the Town Hall
11.04–03.05.2025
In PHOENIX, I’m showing works that I consider among my most direct and unfiltered. These paintings speak openly—sometimes defiantly—of women’s inner worlds, their wild contradictions, and their sensuality that doesn’t ask for permission.
In my practice, I often explore the lives of contemporary women through figures that are both honest and brutal, sensual and flawed. I don’t aim to beautify. I paint what pulses beneath the surface: the detail that unsettles, the expression that won’t behave, the color that cuts and glows at once.
Eveli Varik called me a “waveringly vivid phoenix,” and I suppose that’s true. These works rise from both fire and softness, memory and impulse. They speak for themselves. And they refuse to apologize.
